Here we are in Meran! We will never stop thanking Merano Maia Racecourse represented by Chairman Avv. Bruno Mellarini and General Director Paolo Micheli, who after all, accepted our request to host the 2nd Edition of Jockey Cup and agreed with us on details of its organisation.

It will take place on August 15th 2008 and this 2nd Edition of Jockey Cup – European International Jockey Championship is going to be displayed with the particulars of a Big Event - to return the trust we received from the Racecourse and with the goal of offering to the fans of horse racing an unforgettable show in the Meran scenery, unique in the World!!

In fact this year’s Jockey Cup will live the competition between Jockey Team Italy composed of "Captain" Mirco DEMURO ( Champion Jockey 2007), Dario VARGIU (Top 10 Jockey 207), Mario ESPOSITO (Top 10 Jockey 2007) and Pierantonio CONVERTINO (Top 10 Jockey 2007) who will challenge with the strokes of whips the incredible and super-titled Jockey Team Ireland composed of Patrick J. SMULLEN ( Champion Jockey 2007), Kevin MANNING (Top 10 Jockey 2007); Declan P. MC DONOGH (Top 10 Jockey 2007) and the "Captain" the mythic Michael J. KINANE. The challenge will be based on 4 out of 8 races in agenda of the mid-August of Meran. There will be the very qualitative Listed Race "E.B.F. Terme di Merano" and the traditional one Handicap Principale delle "Alpi" (one of 4 Jockey Cup races).

It will be very rich racing afternoon with the participation of famous European jockeys and there will be also some collateral display, the most important one will be the presence of Equspera Onlus Association with its beautiful horsemen and horsewomen who will give us the prove what the real passion and dedication between sacrifices can do with a Horse and a Human Being "Differently Able"!!
