The Official Programme of the Racing Meeting dedicated to the Jockey Cup 2008. The Championship originally was structured on 4 races in flat, but because of the bad weather conditions one of 4 races did not reached the minimum number of horses. We had to change the Regulations basing the Championship on 3 races, one of them was the traditional HP dell Alpi (First Class Handicap) won by Kevin Manning on Sgiaff. Thanks to this performance he was nominated the Top Jockey of the Event.
The Jockey Team ready for the memory picture. To us is still not easy to believe that it all happened for real. We started to face the gallop universe for fun and for passion and that day we stood in the picture together with the people who are considered the Legends of the International Racing!! Yes, Ladies & Gentlemen, we were near to somebody who won something like 700 Group Races all around the world, near to the international famous jockeys who had a luck and privilege to mount for the Stables & Trainers most highlighted in the world the most extraordinary pure-blooded horses, today best stallions and sirs of best blood stocks in the globe. What we can say? For a piece of the day, because of the emotion and of the fear that something can go wrong we didn’t realised that it was raining in torrents.
Aga Barberini and interview to Michael Kinane!! Seems unreal!! A little-big soul of BluLine Races, with her perfect English and professionalism did her best to make feel comfortable this Great International Champion, we so received his thanks for the hospitality and the organisation spirit that permitted to the Irish Team to pass, and to let us have the honour to stay together wit them, three especial days in Alpine Location. Michael, Kevin, Declan & Willy, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! For your trust in us, for having exchange our efforts with your extraordinary professionalism and disposability. Thank to you, today we can say that although young experience, if you wish strongly to realise something, you can do it!
Solidarity!! This is the only chapter that had not exactly the same effect as we programmed also because it was the issue we cared about particularly. We indeed organised a fundraising on favour of Equspera – an Onlus Equestrian Therapy Association, authorised by A.N.I.R.E., having give them the visibility during the Jockey Cup Day, through the cooperating websites, and first of all presenting the Association to the Great Public and to the Event’s operators, to use the charitable fundraising to find money not only useful but just necessary in order to help girls and boys of Equspera who decided to dedicate their life to the assistance and recovery of people that are "Diversely Able", this disable people who thanks to the Horse can reach the levels of autonomy they never would imagine.
Although the fundraising didn’t have the effect we hoped, we will continue to work to make our job on Equspera’s favour more effective and constructive!
