We become a Great Event!! This year we did our best to organise the 3rd Edition of Jockey Cup, thanks to the cooperation of UNIRE and Meran Maia Racecourse and the very prestigious Sponsor & Partners, Friends of the Event, this year’s Edition is going to be extraordinary. The renewed glamour of the Meran Maia Racecourse will be a scene of a challenge between Italian Jockey Team and French Jockey Team and presence of the two Captains: Lanfranco “Frankie” Dettori for Italy and Olivier Peslier for France will surely guarantee the show without prior. This year both Teams will be particularly fierce with Mirco Demuro, Mario Esposito & Luca Maniezzi for Italy versus the French colleagues: Cristophe P. Lemaire, Davy Bonilla & Anthony Crastus. It will take place on July 19th 2009. The 3rd Edition will be displayed, as usually, on 3 of 7 races of the Official Programme, during the meeting that has been expressly dedicated to the event with the precious support of the Technical Office of Meran Maia Racecourse. The championship will appoint the Team with the higher score of points and will also appoint the Jockey who reached the best individual score prizing him with SISAL – MATCHPOINT Trophy - Top Jockey 2009. We programmed to insert into the Championship Day a Special Contest called “Lady Fashion Day 2009”. A Special Jury will appoint the most Elegant & Glamour between the Ladies on the Racecourse, who will gain the title “Lady Fashion Day 2009”. The winner Lady will receive a Special Prize offered by Belvita Hotel Adria **** of Meran. Dear Ladies, do not loose this opportunity of being photographed and admired and become “Lady Fashion Day 2009”

We programmed, also, the Special Lottery & Charity as collateral event of the Challenge, called “Jockey Cup 2009 - A True Help” (Authorized by Amministrazione Autonoma Monopoli di Stato - Prot. N° 19948 del 21/05/2009) on the favour of a Charity Projects realised by Foundation Milan Onlus, that, among other activities that will put in act for the Meran public, will exhibit in the Racecourse the Champions Cup & the World Cup for Club achieved by AC Milan in 2007 and will reserve to the winner of the 1st extraction of the Lottery the special gift of the AC Milan Official Jersey with the Autographs of the Players of the Season 2008/2009. We believe there will be the huge presence of the football fans in the Racecourse, we hope their presence will bring the solidarity and will add to this sportive event the charity event.

Take a memo of the date of the event and call your friends and family to bring them on July 19th into the Meran Maia Racecourse because they will see the “Living Legend” of the International Racing who will challenge together with his “Brothers of Italy” (as in the national anthem) the “Four Musketeers” of France who will come up to Maia to fight for the Championship Trophy and for the Jackpot gathered for this occasion, but they have to know that to bring away the Trophy from the Italian hands will cost them a lot of effort!!
